SALE!! chalkboard ampersand, handpainted original artwork, handpainted chalkboard necklace
SALE! These hand painted numbers and signs are being discontinued. They are marked down from $32!!
Hand painted original artwork print under a glass dome and settled nicely into an antique silver pendant.
This began as lots of doodling, eventually I honed in on the design and 'font' I wanted for my sweet little chalkboard numbers and letters. I couldn't find the perfect white marker so I reached for my trusty old favorite paintbrush and my white acrylic paint. I painted on a black background and sealed the design under a glass dome.
I don't really know what the fascination is for the ampersand but, it gets me too! Maybe because people are meant to live in community not alone.
Plus the ampersand is just so pretty to look at! There are so many different ways to draw the ampersand. It's a beautiful thing.
Here's some information I found on Wikipedia about our friend, ampersand:
'It was also common practice to add the "&" sign at the end of the alphabet as if it were the 27th letter, pronounced and. As a result, the recitation of the alphabet would end in "X, Y, Z, and per se and". This last phrase was routinely slurred to "ampersand" and the term had entered common English usage by 1837."
This pendant is 33mm across, that's about an inch and 1/4.
The chain selection is in the last photo. You may choose from three chain styles for $22. The longest chain is $25. You will find the choices in the pull down menu.
This necklace looks great alone or layered with other necklaces.
